Musicians and vocalists from the Music Association of Minnetonka have been performing for over 37 years in the western metropolitan area, as well as around the world. Each ensemble has a specific focus and on occasion the groups come together for joint performances.
A Message from our Music Director
There are things in life so profound they can only be felt - not uttered or even sung. These pour from the soul, and the heart alone understands. Joy, faith, friendship and love enable one to rise to the vision of beauty sustained within - to hear the gentle songs of earth and find them blessed. To understand these things is a gift, to share them is love.
Through our music we give vent to the otherwise inexpressible, for it is here we find the path to our deepest feeling and direct access to the divinity that lies within. Our music strives to bring people together, and serves as a reflection of our communities' deepest values, goals and meaning. Music enables people to share moments of inspiration and effort. From these experiences may come a deep spirit of communion, of the life of each person in relation to the life of his neighbor. Experiencing life through a relationship with music can guide and help bring to fruition a full realization of our humanity and the achievements of our intellectual and spiritual development as individuals and as a community. Music enables us to care more for each other, serve our community more fully, love more deeply those with whom we share our lives and be confronted with something pure and lovely that lies outside the range of ordinary experience.
Who is there who can express the affect music has upon us? A kind of inarticulate unfathomable speech, which leads us into each others hearts and minds, and then to the very edge of the infinite.
