About the Symphony Chorus

a_symphchorus

The Minnetonka Symphony Chorus (MSC) is an auditioned ensemble for adult men and women that performs four concerts each season.  Symphony Chorus members share a genuine appreciation for and love of great choral music.

The Symphony Chorus offers a wide repertoire that includes traditional, sacred pieces, as well as a variety of secular and contemporary selections.   During some concert seasons, the Symphony Chorus partners with the Minnetonka Symphony Orchestra to perform a major choral and orchestral work.  In recent years, they have performed Brahms’s Ein deutsches Requiem, and Brubeck’s La Fiesta de la Posada.

In addition to its local concerts, the Symphony Chorus participates in international tours every three years and has traveled to Austria, Czechoslovakia, East Germany, Norway, Sweden, England, France, Italy, and Switzerland.

Auditions to join the choir are held in August/September and in January of each concert season.  Please contact the MAM office at 952-401-5954 for more details.

The Symphony Chorus rehearses Tuesday evenings from 7:30 p.m. - 9:30 p.m. September through June at the Minnetonka Community Center at 14600 Minnetonka Blvd, Minnetonka.
