Minnetonka Symphony and Chamber Orchestra

The Minnetonka Symphony Orchestra and Chamber Orchestra are auditioned, professional-quality amateur orchestras aspiring to musical excellence in rehearsal and performance.

Founded in 1974 as the original ensemble of the Music Association of Minnetonka, the Symphony Orchestra provides opportunities for growth in musical expression through concerts of great music for audiences in the Twin Cities western suburbs and programs that encourage young instrumental musicians.

Rehearsals:

Symphony Orchestra - Sunday nights at 7:30 p.m.; Chamber Orchestra - Sunday nights at 6:30 p.m.

(Members of the Chamber Orchestra are selected from the Symphony Orchestra, based on concert repertoire for a specific performance.)

Rehearsals are held at the Arts Center on 7 at Minnetonka High School.

Performances:
The Symphony and Chamber Orchestras perform 10 concerts each season, September through June, four of which focus on the ensemble's mission to introduce children to classical music.
