About the Minnetonka Symphony Chorus
The Minnetonka Symphony Chorus is an auditioned ensemble for adult men and women that performs four concerts each season. Members share a genuine appreciation for and love of great choral music. The choir rehearses Tuesday evenings from 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. at the Minnetonka Community Center, in the Purgatory Creek Room at 14600 Minnetonka Blvd, Minnetonka. Auditions are held in August, September and January of each concert season.
The Symphony Chorus performs a wide repertoire that includes traditional, sacred pieces, as well as a variety of secular and contemporary selections. During some concert seasons, the Symphony Chorus partners with the Minnetonka Symphony Orchestra to perform a major choral and orchestral work. In recent years, they have performed Brahm’s Ein deutsches Requiem and Brubeck’s La Fiesta de la Posada.
