Music Association of Minnetonka

The Music Association of Minnetonka provides enriching classical musical experiences for people of all ages and abilities.

 The association encompasses nine choral and orchestral ensembles with more than 250 performing members. Approximately 50 concerts are performed each year for neighbors, friends and members of the greater Minneapolis community. Many of our concerts are offered free of charge!

Join a Minnetonka Youth Choir!

Auditions and Youth Choir Barbeque - Sunday, August 29

Audition for one of our Youth Choirs on Sunday, August 29 from 2:30 p.m. -  3:30 p.m. in the Choral Room at the Arts Center on 7, 18285 Highway 7, Minnetonka (Minnetonka High School Campus).  For all choirs except the Choristers Choir, an audition is required and will consist of pitch and quality of voice.  If this date is not convenient, an alternative time can be arranged.

From 3:30 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. prospective members are invited to spend the afternoon to meet current Youth Choir members, their respective Music Director and Choir Managers, join in on a mass rehearsal and perform at the end of the barbeque.

Stay for our barbeque from 5:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. and meet other families and hear the Youth Choirs sing.  This is a free event.

If you'd rather attend one of our youth choir reherasals and learn more about the choirs, please join us at one of the following times.  So that a Choir Manager will be on hand, let us know you are coming at 952-401-5954.

Choristers  Choir - Boys and Girls in K-grade 2

Open Rehearsals:  Thursday, Sept. 16, 23, and 30 from 5:00 p.m. - 5:45 p.m.

Cappella  Choir - Girls in Grades 3-5

Open Rehearsals:  Thursday, Sept. 9, 16, and 23 from 6:00 p.m. - 6:55 p.m.

Concert Choir - Girls in Grades 6-9

Open Rehearsals: Thursday, Sept. 9, 16, and 23 from 6:15 p.m. - 8:15 p.m.

                                Saturday, Sept. 18 from 9:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.

Chamber Choir - Girls in Grades 9-12

Open Rehearsals:  Thursday, Sept. 2, 9, and 16 from 7:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.

                                  Saturday, Sept. 4 and 11 from 9:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.

Open Rehearsals  

 If you are interested in learning more about our adult choral ensembles, you are invited to attend an open rehearsal on any Tuesday in September held at the City of Minnetonka's Community Center at 14600 Minnetonka Blvd., Minnetonka.  Choral Reflections rehearse from 6:30 p.m. to 7:45 p.m. while the Symphony Chorus rehearses from 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.

No, the Music Association of Minnetonka is a proud participant in the community life of the City of Minnetonka, however our activities and events extend throughout the suburbs of Minneapolis. 
Members from all over the metro area participate in our ensembles.  In all, over 37 surrounding Minneapolis communities are represented in the various performing groups.
